Makin secures Kent Open title

Joel Makin has won the $10,000 Kent Open 2017 PSA event, betaing local favourite Josh Masters in the final. Makin, the World number 47 defeated Masters, ranked 58, in straight games 11-5, 11-4, 11-8 in 37 minutes. Makin’s toughest match of the event came in the quarter finals came against training partner and fellow Warwickshire professional Jan Van Den Herrewegen….

Three Warwickshire players proudly represented England in the recent home internationals. Marcus Hayes helped England win in the Over 35’s in Nottingham.
