Edbaston Priory’s Mike Harris and Rachel Woolford from Solihull Arden struck to claim Masters titles at the South regional event in Winchester.
Harris, competing in the Over 45 category, made it a hat-trick of titles this season as he beat Galen Le Cheminant in an epic 5 game tussle. Harris led 1-0 and 2-1 before being pegged pack each time to take them into a decider, which the Priory club coach snuck 11-9 to claim the title. This adds to his victories at the Midlands and North of Enlland events earlier in the season.
