Hassan Khalil Reaches Final of British Junior U15 Championships

Solihull Arden’s Hassan Khalil put in an impressive performance to finish runner up at the British Junior Championships held at the National Squash Centre in Manchester. Khalil, an England junior international, was seeded 2nd coming into the event and showed some strong performances to reach the final. He was up against the outstanding Sam Todd, already a two time British champion at the younger U13 age group, and a World class performer.

Todd proved too strong in a well contested final to take the title in a close 3 games.

Round 1: Beat Zan Farooqi 11-8, 11-3, 11-9

Round 2: Beat Ben Harrison 11-4, 11-3, 11-13, 13-11

Quarter Final: Beat Muhammad Azhan Khan 11-6, 11-5, 9-11, 3-11, 11-4

Semi Final: Beat Oliver Green 9-11, 11-9, 11-3, 13-11

Final: Lost to Sam Todd 7-11, 7-11, 9-11
