Kenilworth’s Mariam Eissa produced a stunning performace to win the girls U11 category at the English Junior Championships in Hull. The Warwickshire youngster is currently ranked 4 in the country and has been showing signs of her enormous potential this season. Having made it through to the last 8, Eissa beat Jaspreet Kaur Nahal of Yorkshire in straight games before repeating the scoreline in her semi final against Annabelle Hill of Surrey. Top seed Charlie McCrone of Lancashire awaited in the final, Eissa upsetting the seedings to win the title without dropping a game.
